from...La Guagua

That’s the title of the painting that attracts from a high print all the visitants who decided to travel with us to yesterday’s Cuba.

It is an oil on fabric, a little bit  bigger than six meters long, 2.75 meters hight, divided in five panels.

In this mural that crowns us once we are inside of La Guagua and we look up, Cuba is there, mixing the local lanscape and tobacco plantations with the imponent Havana’s architecture, a Camaguey yard is entwined with emblematic Padre Pico Street of Santiago, Cuba; a happy and noisy city.

And right in the center of the mural, the Queen of Salsa, the “guarachera of the world”, transformed in ocean and sky, sings from heart of 8th Street, that is also a piece of the Cuban soul…azúcarrrr...
